Gloss Glazes

The GL's provide a wealth of colors with a brilliant finish. The best glazes for use on non-functional or decorative pieces. Best glazes to use on red clay. Read the labels as some are not food safe. All contain lead.

 How to: On bisque, splash pot with GL609,
let dry brush on 3-4 coats of GL614 Matador red,
fire to 06 The copper in the green glaze
 eats through the cadmium Red Glaze.

Notice: This glaze line is Discontinued, Many colors are being changed over to Non-toxic, they will have In1613 type numbers and will be part of the Envision Line.

How to use Gloss Glazes
 

1. Apply 2-4 flowing coats.
2. Apply to shelf cone 04 bisque.
3. Fire to shelf cone 06-04.
4. Clean up with water.
5. Always refer to label instructions for proper application and usage.

Tips & Techniques

1. Use Gloss Glazes for banding, marbleizing, spattering, sponging, stenciling and stippling.
2. Gloss Glazes can be used over underglazes, however their color may change the colors of the underglazes. Test-fire a small sample to test results.
