Antiquing and Oil based Translucents 

Antiquing is a technique where you apply a slow drying finish to a previously sealed or base coated,  highly textured piece. Then wipe back, using a damp soft cloth. The stain will remain in the crevasses.

A revolution in antiquing. Non-toxic colors offer easy water cleanup and bright, vibrant colors. 

These water based products were a revolutionary breakthrough in antiquing-no more need for solvents, would not stain your hands. But, they are gone.
